There could be an opportunity for Twitter to get into directly hosting streaming video.

Musk seemed to hint at that possibility with his latest tweet. https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1653447855401468011

The video in question was a seemingly innocuous interview with Mr. Andrew Bridgen, a member of the UK parliament. (Edit: If I got this wrong, please correct me)

It's probably been a long time coming. Good riddance, I say.

I challenge you to submit one example of Campbell spreading misinformation.

From Wikipedia:

> In March 2022, Campbell posted another ivermectin video, in which he misrepresented a conference abstract to make the claim that it "unequivocally" showed ivermectin to be effective at reducing COVID-19 deaths, and that ivermectin was going to be a "huge scandal" because information about it had been suppressed.

A whole Wikipedia article section with more examples:

He referenced the results of a specific study (edit: He presented the study's results exactly "as is", before it was retracted. He isn't a fortune teller). https://archive.ph/UtFuV

That paper is "retracted": https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S120197122...

IIUC it was retracted before the video was created. So that would be an example of "spreading misinformation" (assuming the ordering is as I think).

But further, this is a perfect example of why doctors on the internet shouldn't be making videos from single papers that don't actually say what you might think they say. Most people on the internet are not capable of evaluating these sorts of things.

I feel like you have completely wasted everyone’s time.

When people get it wrong, there should be consequences.

You are no longer a reliable source.

There’s so many people out there who just keep throwing shit against the wall. “Oh well, I was wrong. Here’s the next thing…”

People don’t know what to believe because no one has the time to validate all the unreliable noise.

I wonder if there's a "nazi bar" equivalent to this particular group of COVID grifters... guy with a "Dr." in front of his name (according to Wpedia, he has a doctorate in... teaching via digital media...? so, not in medicine, which is what one would be excused to be thinking, given the subject matter), speaks in authoritative voice about cherry-picked stuff that "they" don't want you to know about!

His Ph.D. in nursing is from the University of Bolton (top Google result).

"He received the Ph.D. [in nursing] for his work on developing methods of teaching via digital media such as online videos." (in the linked Wikipedia article).

It is disheartening to see what is happening in this thread. Dr. John Campbell is a fine and ethical man. I challenge you to look a little deeper into the subject.

Some ignorant comments here. Nothing wrong with the reasoning per se, but the info they're basing things on is, to say the least, incomplete. GIGO. Some commenters are obviously unaware of the growing body of research supporting ivermectin use and others as antivirals (& COVID), something that's been known for rather a lot longer than many are comfortable admitting, though with the lack of media coverage of the scandals relating to the Lancet et al, they could be forgiven. I've been following the issues Bridgen and Campbell are talking about for quite some time, and I see these two as vastly more trustworthy than official sources these last few years, who were, it turns out, themselves responsible for pushing incredible amounts of misinformation. And Wikipedia? Please. Great for info on quasars, but has become terribly corrupted on anything relating to the political and, interestingly, to health, nutrition and pharmaceuticals. Campbell followed the data, so did Bridgen. Those saying they didn't are having trouble separating facts from their worldview. Youtube screwed up.
